
khanafi Cheese Bites
If baklava and mozzarella sticks had a baby… you’d get these Knafeh Cheese Bites. Crispy, creamy, and Shavuos-ready in under 20 minutes!
Ingredients
1 block halloumi or Mozarella cheese (use mozzarella if you want a cheese pull, Ha’Olim for a firm cheese bite)
1 box kahatafi tand a w by
2 sticks butter
3 tbsp. Oil
For the sugar syrup
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 cup water
Pistachios
Instructions
Cut your cheese into 1 inch thick slices
Wrap them in the khatafiÂ
Place onto a parchment lined baking sheetÂ
Melt 1.5 sticks of butter with the oil and then pour over each wrapped cheese.Â
Then dredge your wrapped cheese in the butter on the pan making sure it’s fully covered in butter
Transfer to a wire rack lined baking sheet
 Ale in air fryer or a oven set on confection bake at 450F for 15 minutesÂ
Add your sugar, honey and water into a sauce pan and let it come to a simmer and thicken into a watery syrup
When the khatafi bites come out of the oven, pour the sugar water over them.
Melt the rest of the butter and pour over them as wellÂ
And then garnish with chopped pistachios.Â
