Blueberry Cheese Danish Hack
Rhodes really needs to sponsor me already… because this cheese danish hack? Bakery-level. Effort-level? Basically nonexistent. Creamy, jammy, crumbly perfection and yes, we’re using store-bought dough because we’re smart, not stressed
Ingredients
12 frozen Rhodes Dough
For cheese mixture: 12 oz whipped cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. Sour cream
2 heaping tbsp. Flour
splash vanilla
1 large egg
Mix till smooth
For the blueberries:
1 bag @pardesfarms frozen blueberries
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. Corn starch mixed with water
1 lemon juiced
For the streusel topping:
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
Instructions
1. Let the Dough Rise:
Allow the dough balls to rise for 4–5 hours.
2. Shape the Dough:
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet. Use the back of a tablespoon to press a deep well into the center of each one.
3. Fill with Cheese Mixture:
Mix the cheese ingredients until smooth, then spoon the mixture into the wells of the dough.
4. Prepare the Blueberry Topping:
In a saucepan, combine all the blueberry ingredients. Mix well, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool. Once cooled, spoon the blueberry mixture over the cheese-filled dough.
5. Make the Streusel Topping:
Combine the streusel ingredients and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle generously over the blueberries.
6. Bake:
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
