Best thing EVER!! It’s legit a party in your mouth – falafel with that delicious popper sauce then add into a Lafaye with Hummus and Israeli Salad … I mean… COME ON PEOPLE!!

You have to make them and taste them … THEY ARE SPECTACULAR!

Ingredients

1 box @neareastproducts couscous, with 1/2 cup hot water and spice packet mixed in. Let rest for 5 minutes.

1 package of @goldentastesalads chickpeas

1 shallot

Fresh parsley

2 tsp. Sweet paprika

POPPER SAUCE:

1 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp corn starch mixed with 3 tbsp water (that’s your slurry)

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp mirin

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp chili sauce

Instructions

For the falafel balls:

Take all these ingredients and blend in a food processor till combined into a nice batter.

Make balls and then fry in oil on both sides for about 3-4 minutes till crispy. Then bake on 350F for about 25 minutes.

For the Popper sauce:

In the same pot as the oil left over from falafel, add the brown sugar. Then mix in the slurry till combined. Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix till you just get a rolling boil. The lower flame and add your cooked falafel balls and coat them fully in the sauce.

Once that’s done plate them on top of @goldentastesalads hummus add some Israeli salads and enjoy in a laffa!
