French Toast Cinnamon Rolls
Worth the calories! And hey you fasted… have 2!Â
This is something I created when all I had the will to muster one fast day, was to roll up white bread instead of making complicated doughs.Â
And let me tell you… sometimes the hack is better than the real thing.Â
This is like a French toast (the edges and roll are crispy and FULL on cinnamon sugar flavor) mixed with the dreams cinnamon rolls are made of. Â
Ingredients
1 package crustless white bread
For the cinnamon mixture:
1/2 stick butter melted
1/4 cup cream
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. V extract
1 tbsp. Cinnamon
Whisk till combined
4 eggs mixed with 1/4 cup milk
1.5 cups granulated cane sugar
For the cream cheese frosting:
8 oz whipped cream cheese
1/3 cup cream
1 cup confectioners sugar
Instructions
Flatten the white bread with a rolling pin or your hands and then Shmear generously the cinnamon mixture on top.
Roll the bread it on tube
Then Deere it first in egg wash and then into sugar and place into a baking pan.
I like to grease my pan with the extra cinnamon mixture.Â
Then brush the tops with the last bit of cinnamon mixture and bake for 25 minutes on 375FÂ
Cool before putting on frostingÂ
For the cream cheese frosting:
Mix till smooth then top your French toast rollsÂ
