
Mommy’s Asian Chicken Broccoli & Spaghetti
If you have my second cookbook you KNOW zone of the best recipes is actually Mommy’s Asian Chicken & Spaghetti – but that was MY MOTHERS recipe she made at least once a week for dinner.
This one here… is MY RECIPE that my daughter now calls “Mommys Asian chicken spaghetti!” 🤣🤣 #fullcircle
Super easy to make – even though my mothers in the cookbooks is really much easier with a few less ingredients and delicious!
Ingredients
1 box spaghetti cooked (save 1 cup pasta water)
For the chicken marinate
Chicken thighs or breasts cut into pieces
1/3 cup corn starch
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
2 tbsp. Soy sauce
1 tbsp. Honey or sugar
2 tsp. Oil
2 tbsp. Tamari sauce
1 tsp. Minced @kosher_taste garlic
2 tsp. Dried parsley
1 tsp. Chicken consume spice
1 tsp. Black pepper
Pinch of ginger
Instructions
Mix all together and let marinate for a few minutes
Heat your pan with about 4 tbsp oil.
Cook your chicken in the pan for a few minutes on each side. Cover and let cook for 5 minutes
Then…
Add 1 small red onion, sliced into the pan and mix
Add 1 bag of @pardesfarms frozen broccoli florets Into the pan.
Then add the pasta water
2 tbsp. Oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
And 1/2 tsp. Cornstarch mixed with water for a slurry.
Mix that all together and cover the pan for 5-6 minutes.
Uncover and then add the the cooked spaghetti and mix well.
Serve and eat!
