3 Minute SheetPan Baklava

I basically keep upping the game when it comes to these dessert hacks, next week 1 minute Boston cream pie? 🤣🤣🤣

No, seriously this recipe blew my mind! I saw someone make a desert using the phyllo dough as a topper for a custard napoleon, and I loved her brilliant method of cutting it into strips and baking it on a sheet pan. Which,  totally sparked the idea for me for this recipe.

Because hey wait … I could totally make a super easy baklava dupe like this, right?!!!

You BETCHYA!  I will never make real baklava again. NO, TRULY, WHO the heck has time for that?! (I’ll buy the traditional at the Shuk, but t hime this will satisfy every craving!)

FYI awesome for the upcoming #jewishholidays – you can add dried pomegranates or chopped apricot and dates for a even more intense version .

You will LOVE THIS. Absolutely addictive. And for all the haters who say this is not real Baklava, why hate? It’s very similar and it’s easy and tasty. For those who are craving the real thing, you’re welcome to slave away at the recipe.

Ingredients

RECIPE:

1 roll phyllo dough , cut into thick 1-2 inch strips

2 sticks margarine, melted (can use coconut oil)

1 cup water

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

Chopped pistachios

Dried blueberries or raisins

Instructions

Lay the cut strips out on a parchment lined baking sheet

Warm up your water mixed with the sugar, honey and vanilla until just simmered and lay aside

Then pour the melted margarine on the phyllo strips and mix well with hands coating the strips

Then spread out the strips as best as you can again on the tray

Throw the chopped pistachios over the top of the phyllo generously. Then add the dried blueberries.

Pour the sugar syrup over it all and then bake on 400F for 25 minutes

Let cool and eat!!
